All of Alice’s domain dresses have two alchemical symbols on the apron, each different in appearance and meaning.
Eris - the Greek goddess of chaos, strife, and discord.
Jupiter - the Roman equivalent of the Greek god Zeus, who is also the king of the gods. It means “Mind rising above the Horizon of Matter” and suggests evolutionary development (maturity, and knowledge gained through a time of growth). The position of balance that the planet Jupiter is in the Solar System makes it ideal for justice, manifestation, and perfect order. Other characteristics of this symbol include: power, authority, confidence, ruler-ship, wisdom, opportunity, and dominion.
Mercury - it is identified with the Greek god Hermes, who is the messenger of the gods.
Saturn - it represents the Roman god of agriculture, who was believed to have ruled the Earth during an age of happiness and virtue.
Neptune - it represents the Roman god of the sea, identified with the Greek god Poseidon.
Moon - symbol for the planet Moon and represents a crescent moon in astronomical terms.
Uranus – it represents a personification of the sky, or god of the heavens in ancient Greek mythology.
Pluto – it represents a modification to Neptune’s astrological symbol in astronomical terms.
Venus - it represents the goddess of love, Aphrodite and could simply imply the gender symbol for feminism.
Descending node - it represents karmic repression or tendencies that restrict growth and expresses the restrictions of Saturn, which denotes the easy way out with little opportunity for growth.
Mars - its energy forces one to confront the deepest, darkest secrets and drive a spike of active understanding in the heart of one’s shadows. It is also associated with the element iron, which in philosophical terms represents a need to temper primal urges while at the same time embracing the fire within. Other characteristics of this symbol include: new beginnings, initiation, retreat, death, and submersion.
Ceres - it is typically seen to inherit female traits, which could imply that the symbol represents the opposite of Mars. Other characteristics of this symbol include: growth, prosperity, grieving, separation, and dying.
